They also tend to be quite fast, equipped with easy portability features and some of them even have advanced features such as built in LED headlights, cruise control and handlebar display screens. As you would expect, the more advanced the scooter becomes, the more it costs.

Scooters for kids are a different ball park from any other type of electric scooter, that’s for sure. These scooters tend to focus more on ease of use, safety, and aesthetics – which makes them great for your child.

Some electric scooters are aimed towards children under 12 and others for over 13 . Because of that, the price range can vary greatly. If you go up on the age range towards teenagers, then the price goes up slightly. These scooters tend to be a bit faster, have a greater mileage and have more features which transforms them from something that can just get you from A to B to a toy is even more fun and will be the hottest accessory on the block.

How Much Do Seated Electric Scooters Cost?

seated electric scooter cost

You can expect to pay between $180 – $400 for the best seated electric scooters.

Yup, you guessed it. The main difference between this type of electric scooter and the rest of them is the the fact that you can ride them while sitting.

Seated electric scooters offer the luxury of comfort, especially for long journeys allowing you to sit back, throttle the motor and glide along in comfort. In fact, some models feature a removable seat giving you the option to ride standing up or sitting down, which makes this type of scooter a versatile option.

These scooters tend to have poor portability, because the seat makes them bulkier. They can carry heavier payloads, though, and have very sturdy decks and casings. It is also important to know that they are heavier than non-seated models, due to the addition of the seat.

Again, here are two examples of models which fall into the lower and higher end of the price range.

Electric Scooter Cost Overview

In short, there are a lot of options to choose from. And with a lot of options, comes a lot of variations in price.

So, when you ask how much does an electric scooter cost, it’s actually really difficult to give a solid answer. Try asking, what do I want out of an electric scooter? Then, once you’ve narrowed it down to a specific category, you’ll have a much better idea of what you can expect to pay.

If you’ve read over this buyer review guide, you should now have a good idea of how much each type of electric scooter will cost. To recap:
